Edthatsmycup has dropped a brand new banger for his fans titled “Ice Cream Man.” The drop is a follow up to the single “ATM.” Today we will be doing a review on Hip Hop Crowns and about the artist.
The track “Ice Cream Man” opens with a creepy intro of panning bells and backing vocals. Edthatsmycup starts with the hook revolving around the lyrics, “I’m the Ice Cream Man.”
The metaphor used, we believe, is being a drug dealer – however, it can be interpreted as you want. Maybe Edthatsmycup has a side business rolling around in an Ice Cream Truck slinging Rockets and Fudge Sticks to the kids.
I do feel the Ice Cream track Edthatsmycup would drive would be creative and artful.
The North Hollywood based artist hits us with confident vocals and well-done transitions.
The 2:14 length track feels like a good length; I do long for a bridge or another verse as I feel wanting more from Edthatsmycup.
That is what the “Repeat” button is for on Spotify.
The beat, as mentioned, has a creepy vibe, hits us as a banger. With a heavy bass, trap kit, and creepy bass. Simple and yet perfect for the vision that Edthatmycup has created.
The vocal flow that Edthatmycup hits transitions well. Following the hook leading into the next verse, the vocal flow transitions create differential, which is essential in this type of Hip Hop sub-genre.
Edthatmycup does an exceptional job of creating that differential by the transitions.
In 2019 Edthatmycup distributed five tracks, which “Ice Cream Man” was apart of. The in your face artist sticks with his witty and creative style, which we can apprecaited.
He is undoubtedly doing numbers on Spotify with over 54,000 monthly listeners and 8802 followers. The upcoming artist seems to top his last track with more growth and fans being added.
Reviewing Edthatmycup’s Instagram, we feel it is colorful, in your face, and entertraiing.
Our review results with Edthatmycup’s “Ice Cream Man” results to a 4.7/5, with 0.3 removed due to wanting more from the track. I feel a bridge or a verse would be perfect for the track.
We are patiently waiting on Edthatmycup’s 2020 drop and we will be on the lookout for that one.
