Lawson J has dropped a brand new single with visuals titled “NYAS” or, “Not Yet A Star.” The production is an all-out vibed-up trap track with R&B and Pop elements.

The single commences with a synth melody, hi-hats, ad-libs, some bass tastes, and transitions into the verse. The verse continues and quickly changes to the hook, which the hook is a brainworm, exceptionally catchy.

I have to point out the after-hook where Lawson J gets more aggressive on his vocals, at 1:00. The section is short but provides us differential, and I salute the artist to change his voice as he did.

The visuals are appealing and have some tasty effects. Background changes, lighting Lazer fx, as Lawson J is in different scenes by a graffiti wall, in the parking garage, an artificial mic is placed into Lawson J hand, which shows the excellent work of the video producer.

Overall the production is well done, and Lawson J does it all from his bedroom, from the sound to the streaming platforms. I salute the artist for his hard work.

Here is what Lawson J states about the song:

“Not Yet A Star” is a Hip/Hop, Rap song that every upcoming artist could relate to. The bitter taste of people giving you excellent feedback on your songs but not willing to share it because you are not successful enough or famous yet, or worse, people who ignore your messages for the same reason.
