Kyd Money dropped a remake/his own of the classic 2000s rap song “Still D.R.E”. by Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Dogg. The release was two years ago, and we are happy getting our ears on the release.
The drop is an artist-self titled, titled “Kyd Money.”
A risky move to take such a classic and well-known beat from one of the most known producers, and make it their own. Kyd Money does this by adding his personality, realism lyrics, confidence, and flow to the beat.
With the vocal placements of “Still Dre” on the original, being replaced by “Kyd Money,” the smart and witty thinking rapper hits it home. I also salute the artist for changing the vocal flow, which indeed executes the differential from the original.
Rewind Kyd Money’s life to his early 20s; the LA rapper has been through some self-doubts and undergone struggles to find happiness. Turning to friends, he shared his talent as a lyricist and rapper, and he did not receive the support that he was striving for.
Not needing the support and being self-influenced, Kyd Money pushes himself to write about his past journies and gives us the creation of “Kyd Money.”
We look forward to more releases and moves from Kyd Money.
