Kamryn Marie Dropped a six-track EP in 2019 titled “Under Control.” The album combines many influences and vibes from the initially born Washington, DC pop artist.
The first track starts the party with an 80’s dance-off—full of feelings and good times. “Somebody With a Broken Heart” featuring Nightbreakers, with grooving bass lines, big snare hits, and brain worm-like vocal melodies, it will make your body move without evening knowing.
The album takes some twists and changes up the vibe with songs like “Goodbye For Now.” The tempo changes to a slower pace, and Kamryn Marie uses a Vocoder effect that blends nicely with the instruments.
To follow up next, the track, “Taking Chances,” contains one of the most prominent synths used on the album. I like the album’s track flow with each song placed to present the music consumer with what Kamryn Marie is feeling. It appears Kamryn is telling a story with not only lyrics but with the instruments as well.
With a big finish for the EP “Under Control.” the party continues on listening to the last song P.D.F (Party Drink Fucked up). A club track you would hear every night at your local dance club.
