Palm Bay, Florida – I’m a big a fan of music that can inspire the imagination; place you within scenes in your own mind from the vibes. Jay Whipple recently dropped a new record titled “Middle Men” that inspires visuals.
The track starts with a jazzy guitar lick and a lo-fi drumkit pushing the beat. I instantly put myself in a smokey dive bar drinking expensive scotch, with no other thought in my mind but music.
Jay Whipple displays a smooth and heart filled flow on “Middle Men”, with lyrics speaking about his own beliefs, the hip hop scene today, his circle, and how he is on a “mission”.
The 1:47 track peaks with somewhat of an ending anthem with Jay repeating:
Grow your own shit and cut the middle man
The arrangement feels creative as the vocal flow changes, however, there is no set verse, hook, bridge, and so on.
Jay Whipple also released a 9 track EP titled: “Senior Year EP” last November. You check out the EP by clicking HERE.
