Erik Cain dropped an influential song and music video titled “Up Up And Away.” The single was released on a 15-track LP titled “Ready Or Not.”
I already feel my good about myself. Within 10 seconds of watching the video “Up Up And Away,” along with the start of the beat, it gives me the want to stop everything; watch and listen. The retention of wanting more grows to fulfillment when I hear Erik Cain’s voice. The way he influences and his wordplay is something that cannot be defined – just listened and felt.
The realism that is put together does not come often, and it feels the perfect scenes, lyrics, vocal character, along with Erik’s movement, are neatly placed together to make the production something special.
The track theme is about all work and money, but not in a malicious way. Working hard and getting to the top, certainly some actions referenced might be illegal, and you don’t care because you feel Erik Cain’s is a good guy trying to make an honest living, which we can all appreciate.
The track, along with the music video, holds up to 2:49, which does feel right to me. I am not ready to stop listening, but there is a repeat button to let it all rewind and replay once again … and again.
I try to find the dislikes on the production as a video or as a single, and I couldn’t find anything that stops a golden 5/5.
