NEW YORK, NY –In December 2019, Tekashi 6ix9ine was sentenced in his racketeering case .
Having already served 13 months in prison, the Brooklyn rapper was given an additional 24 months in prison, a big difference from the 47 years he was originally facing. Resuming his previous life will undoubtedly be a challenge due to his cooperation with the federal government
TMZ, reported that 6ix9ine is already plotting his exit. He supposedly plans to flee New York as soon as he’s released. Sources close to the artist say he wants to get as far away from his hometown as possible and is plans on setting up a residence with “Fort Knox-like security.”
However, 6ix9ine received five years supervised release as part of his sentence and will need permission from the federal probation department to move out of state first.
Apparently 6ix9ine is committed to resuming his rap career but his top priority is putting security measures in place.
He allegedly wants to hire former law enforcement officers or ex-military who are licensed to carry firearms ans avoid security guards with any type of gang affiliation — which will also be tough. Former security guards said no amount of money is worth protecting him.
it’s unclear when exactly 6ix9ine is getting out while still having several months to go on his sentence . The 85 Percent Rule could mean he’s out as early as July, but that remains to be seen.
6ix9ine was arrested in November 2018 alongside former manager Kifano “Shotti” Jordan.
